KPop Style Funky Skater

Lookbook
For this autumn, I like to have some fancy/bright colours popping through my outfits; maybe with a particular necklace, skirt, top, whatever. I realised black and white seems to be very common for my outfits lately. The tribal trend looks like it is coming back very soon too. I have been seeing a lot of tribal mini skirts and body cons in the shops and on fashion blogs/magazine nowadays.

Anyway, here is what I have matched up for you guys today. A simple lace chiffon sleeveless top along with a funky kpop styled skater skirt. I have also used a neon yellow statement necklace to make the outfit seems more interesting. Since autumn is arriving, I would just throw on my denim jacket or a simple jumper on top to keep warm.

How would you have styled this skirt?

Top & Necklace - from Malaysia
Skater Skirt - H&M
PS - I am sorry for the lack of updates, it is because I have quite a lot of school work to do in sixth form. Hopefully it will be better after a while. =)

Dots and Stripes

Nails Art
Here is a very fashionable nail art that is very easily achieved by only using everyday items. The colours I have used are mint, black and white. You may change the colours to your wish of course. This design matches outfits easily since it's simply, but it looks best with non-girly outfits. On my thumb and my fourth finger I have used White stripes and for rest of them I have used white and black dots. I used strippers for the stripes and bobby pins for the dots.

Review: Etude House Drawing Show Creamy Pencil

Product Description

Etude House Drawing Show Creamy Pencil is an eyeliner that expresses vivid colours and the texture is very soft and creamy. It is strong on sebum, absorbs to skin and gives sharp lines. This eyeliner also contains Vitamin E, which protects eye rims and also quick dry/waterproof. Because it is quick dry and waterproof, therefore it prevents fall outs and stays all day long. Etude says this eyeliner can also be used as an eye shadow too.

It comes in 10 colours and here is a guide of how Etude House recommend you use it.

I got these eyeliners in 3 shades; Brown, Black and Peachy Pearl.

These eyeliners have little shimmers within the pencil and when you apply it to your eyes, it creates a very nice and natural look. Here is a swatch of the 3 shades I purchased.

In terms of waterproof; it is very good and it doesn't smudge at all, even when I rub it after I have ran my hands down the tab.

I have been using this product quite often recently, especially when I was still on a holiday in the summer in Malaysia and Hong Kong. Since it was so hot over there during the summer, my eyes were quite oily but even though they are oily, the eyeliner does not smudge and lasts a long time.

Scent - This product doesn't really have a scent.

Packaging - Etude House is well known for their cute and sweet design for their packaging, however for this product there wasn't anything specially cute or sweet about it. It was just a black classic eyeliner pencil with a black plastic cap. The unique thing about these pencils are that they are made of plastic so when you sharpen them, the shavings are very easy to get rid of.

Price - These was on sale when I bought mine in one of their Etude House Store in Singapore for only about SGD$6.30. I think they have discontinued this product, but I am not 100% sure so you'll have to double check if you want to purchase them.

Would I repurchase this product? YES! if not discontinued later on.

DIY - Studding Clothing

How to Stud your Clothes
It is very easy to DIY stud your own clothings. I have purchased these from eBay. They are very cheap. I think I paid around £2 for 100 sliver studs. It is best to only do this on thinner clothings.

  1. Draw out/ Measure where you want to have studs and maybe draw out a design before you start everything.
  2. Put the stud through your clothes with the spiky end.
  3. Flip to the back and close up the 4 spiky legs of the stud.
You're Done! =D

Review: Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturising Lotion

This product claims to do:
  • With 3 types of Hyaluronic Acid to deeply moisturize skin and help to preserve its optimum moisture balance.
  • Replenishes and locks-in moisture for complete hydration. Skin feels significantly soft and supple.
  • Helps improve dry and dehydrated skin, leaving it silky smooth.
  • Skin pH balanced. Low irritation.
  • Free of fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol & colorant.

This moisturising lotion from Hada Labo is a great seller in Japan. Apparently they sell 1 every 4 seconds.

DOES IT REALLY WORK? Well let's see!

Here are the ingredients and description of the product.

You only need a very tiny amount of the product, I normally use about 2-3 drops. You pour a few drops in your palms then rub your hands together and pat it all over your face. It will feel watery at first then sticky/tacky. The stickiness goes away within a few seconds, this means the product is working properly as it is being absorbed into your skin and not sitting on top of ur skin. This is best used after cleansing and before any skin care products or makeup you apply. I personally prefer to cleanse my face, use my toner then pat on the moisturising lotion and lastly my eye cream and face/lotion.

I have been using this product every morning for about 2 weeks now and I absolutely love it! It makes my face feel bouncier and looks more hydrated/healthy.

Scent - This product doesn't really have a scent, it is just like water.

Packaging - Hada Labo uses very simple design for their packaging, which I think is good in a way. Simple = Classy right? They use a flip cap and the hole is quite small so you won't be able to pour out a lot in one go as the product is very liquidy.

Price - I bought mine at Watson in Malaysia when I was on a holiday there this summer, it cost me around Rm42, which is around £8.40. I think this is cheaper than sasa where it was $18.80 on the website not including shipping charge. If you don't have enough to fill the chart for a cheaper/free shipping then consider getting it on eBay, where it was around $22.
