Fun Holiday Make Up

The Holiday Season is here once again and I thought I would create a fun Christmas make up look for you guys. I chose to only use eyeliner and a little but of deep purple eye shadow.

I first started with the pink 'colour pop' eyeliner from Etude House and then I used the Drawing Show Creamy Pencil in BE101 - which is a sparkly cream colour on my upper and lower inner corners. I then used a brown eyeliner from Sephora to tightline my eyes and makes it look more awake.
TIP: you can draw a short brown line in the middle of your waterline where your pupils will normally be to make the illusion that you have circle lenses on which makes your eyes look bigger and cuter.
Finally, I use fill the outer corner of my eyes with a deep purple sparkly eye shadow using the shape of my natural eyeline to make my eyeliner fuller and more polished. You may use eyelashes, put on mascara after to make your lashes stand out and prettier.

For lips, I just put on a simple light pink lip tint from Etude House 'Colour Pop' line so it's not too much and then lip balm on top to make my lips soft as lip tints can be quite drying.

A Day in Bricklane

Recently, we were asked to make a music video for Media. As a group we thought Brick Lane will be an awesome location to film for the video. We went down there for a day and gathered some great shots with the amazing, vibrant street art as background.

We went down Hanbury Street and saw some amazing artworks! If you live in London but haven't been to Brick Lane before and love vintage shopping, street art then I think you should definitely visit this place because I am sure you will love it here! If you are going to visit London soon then I think you should also consider this as one of your places to visit.

Here are some photos of what I saw...

Fashion Photoshoot

Sorry for the long MIA! I was incredibly busy with school work , university entries and I was ill for the pass week. BUT I can finally post since it's the holidays! ^_^

But here's a little update.

For my portfolio and art, I did a small fashion shoot with a friend. I am going to share the outfits and some of the photos with you.

Outfits
We only managed to take photos with one outfit per person due to the limited daylight hours we had since it gets dark very early nowadays in the UK.

Yi-Ling
She was wearing a very vibrant and colourful jumper with a silver studded collar denim shirt underneath. She also wore a short, simple black denim skirt to tone down the colours with a pair of platform chelsea boots. This look is very suitable for the winter season with to brighten up the gloomy feeling of coldness. This look also has a slight urban feel to because of the combination of the denim skirt and bold/fun jumper.

 My Outfit
I went for more of a boho, retro girl look. I wore a white top that has see-through flower patterns to let my black crop top underneath show through. I also decided to wear a pink mini skirt with studs with a red checkered shirt tied around my waist to bring out the retroness I aim to have. The messy, wavy hair makes it more boho-like along with the feather earrings which enhance the colour of my hair. Since I am wearing a mini skirt so my legs will look very long and too plain therefore I chose to wear knee high socks to rock the look up more! =)

Hope you liked this post and found it interesting! =)
Let me know if you want more posts like this.

Girly & Chic Studded Skirt

Today's Outfit

Just a casual Sunday out with family. I have paired a thin, cosy black jumper from Topshop on top of a laced white shirt with collars. This skirt can be very chic looking and girly at the same time depending on how you style it.
Since weather is getting much cooler in London therefore I have also put on a oversized boyfriend coat to keep warm.
 Skirt - H&M (around £15)
Shirt - Malaysia while on holiday (£4)
Jumper - Topshop (£12)
Oversized Coat - Mango (£40)
Shoes - New Look (£16)

PS: I apologise for not updating in such a long time. I was very busy with school as we are at the stage of applying for universities now and there was a lot of work to do. I hope to update more often this term. Sorry!

This Month's Empties

These are the products that I used up to the very last drop.

Ginvera Green Tea Whitening and Refining Fluid

EOS Honeydew Lip Balm - SPF 15

Review: Good lip balm before lip stick or after lip tint.

Tresemme Heat Defence Styling Spray

Review: A good daily heat protective spray since it is light and airy therefore after blow drying, it doesn't feel sticky and thick.

Mitchum Deodorant

Review: It is light and does its job well as it is quite long lasting. The smell is also pretty nice and fresh.

Simple Kind to Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll-On

Review: This product is good for eye bags with its chillness from the metal roller. The down side is that it is not as moisturising as I want it to be.

Shiseido Perfect Whip Foam Cleanser

Review: This cleaner is pretty good at cleaning the dirt and oil away from my face. It does not feel very drying after wash and does not break me out.

Batiste Dry Shampoo - Floral & Flirty Blush

Review: It lifts the oil off my unwashed hair very well and it can last through the day without making my hair looks disgusting and oily. However I believe the smell can be improved and make more natural smells.

Soap & Glory Righteous Butter

Review: It is very moisturising and easy to apply. The smell is just amazing! Both smell and moisture is very long-lasting (around 5 or more hours). Best results when you apply when your skin is still slightly damp.

Soap & Glory Scrub of Your Life

Review:  The microbeads are quite small therefore it doesn't hurt a lot when you use it. It smells amazing just like most Soap & Glory products do and the results is very good! Your skin feels very smooth after use and it is not drying at all.

PS: Some of these pictures does not belong to me.
